Presidential Debate Time and Place: Details for Monday Night Debate on Foreign Policy in Florida

Impact

When you think Florida, two things come to mind: orange juice and old people. But on Monday night at 9 p.m. EST, the Sunshine State will also be home to the last presidential debate in election 2012.

The debate between President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney, moderated by Bob Schieffer, takes place at Lynn University in Boca Raton, a far different setting than last week's town hall at Hofstra University in Long Island. At the Washington Post, Jason Horowitz writes, "It’s hard to find a place that has been bathed more in the political sunlight than this city in pivotal Palm Beach County, on the east coast of swing state Florida."

And the debate tonight will shed some light on foreign policy, rather than crowd-sourced questions. Topics for the debate tonight include:

The Middle East and new forms of terrorism The wars in Afghanistan and Pakistan Israel and Iran The rise of China America's role in the world

From 9:00 to 10:30 p.m., all eyes will be on Boca Raton. But for those of us unable to bask in the sun ourselves, there are plenty of ways to watch the debate.
