Maxine Waters' "I am a strong black woman" speech is finally getting its own T-shirts

Move over, "Nevertheless, she persisted" — there's a new feminist rallying cry in town.

It came on Tuesday, when Rep. Maxine Walters appeared on MSNBC's All in With Chris Hayes and sent a message back to Bill O'Reilly after he made a clearly sexist and racist joke about her hair. "I am a strong black woman, and I cannot be intimidated," she said. "I cannot be undermined."

"I cannot be thought to be afraid of Bill O'Reilly or anybody," she continued. "And I'd like to say to women out there everywhere, don't allow these right-wing talking heads, these dishonorable people, to intimidate you or scare you."

"I am not going to be put down, I am not going to go anywhere, I am going to stay on the issues," the congresswoman concluded.

And just like that, another rallying cry was born, with lots of love pouring in for Waters on Twitter.

But as with any modern feminist rallying cry, like "Nevertheless, she persisted," it felt important enough, and pressing enough, that people actually wanted it on a T-shirt for all to see.

It was really so obvious.

Well, at last, the first Maxine Waters "I am a strong black woman" T-shirts are here

Albeit, they're nothing fancy.

Over at Teespring, a few geniuses have created T-shirtstote bagstank topsmugs and sweatshirts, all emblazoned with Waters' "I am a strong black woman. I cannot be intimidated, and I'm not going anywhere" quote, which is a bit augmented from the original.

But in any case, prayers have been answered.

Now, just like with "Nevertheless, she persisted," we expect many more T-shirts just like these in the future, but hopefully someone is smart enough to create one that gives back to a charity that benefits black women, as well.
