Travis Scott gets killed with an axe in SZA's bizarre new "Love Galore" music video

Top Dawg Entertainment, label to Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Isaiah Rashad and the peerless SZA, is done going through the motions. From now on, it seems safe to say that when they gear up for a release, they're going to be pulling out all the stops. Thursday, SZA announced a new project, her long awaited CTRL and shared a new song "Love Galore," featuring Kylie Jenner's rumored new arm candy, Travis Scott.

In a twist M. Night Shyamalan would applaud, SZA opens her new era by painting a bedroom in Travis Scott's blood.

Up until the last minute, it seems like an extremely conventional R&B video — black silk bed sheets, fishnets, vibe-setting butterflies. However, the single's lyrics hint at an unacknowledged darkness:

Why you bother me when you know you don't want me?

SZA ties Scott to the bed in a provocative manner, only to bring the hammer down, literally — or rather she hires a horrifying, sneering goon to do it for her. The R&B seductress slips off into the night, and Scott's blood spatters against the window.

The video marks the second time in recent weeks that Travis Scott has helped promote one of TDE's own. He appeared alongside Kendrick Lamar during his first Coachella performance following the release of Damn. He was later announced as the opener for Lamar's tour.

At this point, he might as well be a part of the TDE family — if he's not chopped up in little pieces lying in a ditch somewhere. SZA's so cold.
