'Will & Grace' revival premiere confirmed for fall release on NBC

Will & Grace may not be available to stream, but that isn't stopping NBC from moving full steam ahead with its revival. The series will return to its former home for 12 episodes this fall.

The Debra Messing and Eric McCormack-starring sitcom about a straight woman and a gay man makes its return to NBC in the wake of an election-themed, one-off video last fall. The reunion, originally green-lit for 10 episodes, was expanded to 12 in April.

Sean Hayes posted the revival's poster on his Facebook page, and Megan Mullally did the same on Twitter.

The revival comes among a wave of return visits to beloved properties, including Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life and the just-announced Roseanne revival. Considering the episodes were just announced in January, some expected them to be held until midseason. But this announcement places them firmly in the fall.

NBC will likely announce more during their Upfronts presentation in New York City on May 15.
