Trump calls into 'Morning Joe' on 'Saturday Night Live' opening sketch

Culture

The May 6 episode of Saturday Night Live took on the engagement of Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.

Cast members Kate McKinnon and Alex Moffat portrayed the cohosts in the opening sketch. And while most of the skit focused on how disgusted and confused their commentators were with their flirtatious behavior, they did have a special guest caller to comment on the bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act: media spokesman John Miller, or rather, Donald Trump.

Although he didn't appear on screen, Alec Baldwin lent his voice to the skit to wish everyone a happy Cinco de Mayo and boast about having beers to celebrate the health care bill. The call didn't last long though. "John Miller" abruptly hung up as soon as Mika explained that the bill still has to pass the Senate.
