Saturday Night Live viewers expected to see host Melissa McCarthy in the opening sketch during the May 13 episode but were instead treated to Alec Baldwin. The actor made a guest appearance on the NBC show for a skit on Donald Trump's Lester Holt interview.

Michael Che's Lester Holt grills Baldwin's Trump on a series of topics, including the recent firing of Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey. To the surprise of Che's Holt, Baldwin's Trump actually admits to firing Comey because of his Russian investigation.

"No, I did," Baldwin as Trump says. "I fired him because of Russia. I thought: 'He's investigating Russia. I don't like that. I should fire him.'"

Unfortunately Che's Lester Holt did not "get him." Watch the sketch below.
