What time are the Billboard Music Awards on?

On Sunday, May 21, some of the best artists from around the world will gather under one roof for the Billboard Music Awards. The broadcast will begin at 8 p.m. Eastern on ABC and is sure to be a must-watch for music fans. 

Hosted by Vanessa Hudgens and The Fate of the FuriousLudacris, who is returning to host for the fourth straight year, the 2017 Billboard Music Awards will feature no shortage of entertaining performances, with artists from Miley Cyrus to Nicki Minaj taking the stage.

While the performances may end up being the highlight of the night, there will be some prizes handed out as well — this is an awards ceremony after all. Vying for top artist are 10 highly popular musicians: Adele, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, the Chainsmokers, Drake, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Rihanna, Twenty One Pilots and the Weeknd. And that is just one of the awards being handed out. 

Other big prizes at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards include everything from top new artist to genre-specific awards. And with so much star power coming together on one night, music fans will not want to miss a thing. 

The 2017 Billboard Music Awards airs Sunday, May 21 at 8 p.m. Eastern on ABC.
