'Survivor' Season 35: Rumored theme, location and cast members

Culture

Season 34 of Survivor is coming to an end on Wednesday, and fans will want to get a head start on preparing for the next installment. According to Inside Survivor, season 35 of the hit CBS reality series may be called Heroes vs. Healers vs. Hustlers. After holding casting calls for "heroes and healers," such as firefighters and yoga instructors, the show seems to be pitting those types against "hustlers" like salespeople and business executives.

Although the new title has not been officially announced by the network, the upcoming season has actually already wrapped filming in Fiji, which also served as home to Survivor: Game Changers. The rumored cast, consisting of 18 people who will be broken into groups of three, covers a range of ages and occupations. Potential cast members include a therapist, nurse practitioner, personal assistant and wilderness field instructor. Inside Survivor has some of the rumored cast members listed, but CBS has not confirmed any of the names.

If the rumors are true, it sounds like we could be in for some juicy moral confrontations between "selfless" heroes and "selfish" hustlers. Survivor fans will have to wait until fall 2017 to see if those divisions are as black and white as they sound.
