iPhone 8 Dummy: Leaked hands-on video reveals the new release’s design and size

Impact

There's no official word on how the iPhone 8 will look — but there's no shortage of speculation and mockups. Benjamin Geskin recently shared leaks of what the premium iPhone model may look like, and now he's got a video to go with it.

Geskin took to Twitter to show a video of the dummy unit.

The iPhone 8 is rumored to be a 5.8-inch device with an edge-to-edge bezel-less OLED display like the recently released Samsung Galaxy S8. The dummy unit in the video shows an edge-to-edge handset. The unit in the video also has a rear-end dual lens that is vertically aligned, which is also rumored to be coming to the iPhone 8.

While initial rumors suggested the iPhone 8 would have a Touch ID sensor built into the display, more recent rumors hinted at a Touch ID being placed on the back of the device. The video from Geskin did not feature a sensor on the back of the device.

As with all mockups and dummy units, they're nothing more than theories based on the analysis of industry experts. Only Apple can tell us what the iPhone 8 will really look like.
