The Shameless cast has reunited and it feels so good.

Sheila Callaghan, writer and producer on the Showtime series, shared the first photo of the cast on Twitter on Monday.

The picture features stars Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey, Cameron Monaghan, Jeremy Allen White, Emma Rose Kenney and William H. Macy at a table read. With the cast sitting down and reading the script for the first episode, it's official: season eight is underway.

The cast posted all over Instagram on Monday celebrating their return to the show. They also reunited at a Shameless garden party which sounds like the greatest thing ever.

Howey posted this photo with Hampton and captioned it, "There is no Kev without the V."

Hampton got in on the love too and posted this photo from the table read:

Season seven of Shameless left fans with a somber ending. In the season finale titled "Requiem for a Slut," the Gallagher family dealt with a major loss when Monica passed away. The Gallaghers attempted to arrange a funeral for her, but not everyone was on board. Frank was indifferent on the loss of the mother of his children, but made a moving and very Frank speech at the funeral.

The finale also found Fiona becoming a new apartment owner. Meanwhile, Ian and Trevor's relationship was left on the rocks and Lip attended an AA meeting as he questioned his own path in life.

While there is no official premiere date set for season eight, there is a possibility that the series will return as early as this fall or January 2018.
