On Saturday it became official: Beyoncé welcomed her twins to the world.

A source confirmed the happy news to People that Beyoncé and Jay Z's twins joined the Carter family. As of right now, their names haven't been reported, but they join their 5-year-old sister, Blue Ivy.

Just in case there was any doubt, Beyoncé's dad, Matthew Knowles, also confirmed the news on Twitter on Sunday with a tweet:

According to TMZ, a source close to the family says the twins were actually born on June 12. The "Love On Top" singer has remained in the hospital over the past week, as there was a minor and undisclosed issue that kept the mom and the twins there.

The source revealed that the doctors did not want to release the twins just yet and wanted to make sure everything was okay, but the babies are expected to be fine.

Now that the twins are here, everyone is wondering what genders the babies will be assigned. While the assigned genders have yet to be officially confirmed by Beyoncé or Jay Z (or Matthew Knowles), E! News reported that they welcomed a boy and a girl.

A woman was spotted outside of a Los Angeles hospital Friday holding balloons for a boy and a girl. Attached to the balloons was a card that read "B and J."

The couple announced they were expecting twins in February with this now iconic Instagram post. In the caption, the couple thanked everyone for their well wishes and shared their excitement over the news.

Congratulations to Beyoncé, Jay Z and the rest of the world on the birth of the twins.
