Gary Johnson Was Not a Factor: Vote Totals Show Romney Would Have Still Lost, Even With Libertarian Votes

Impact

In this post-circus wrap-up of President Obama’s presidential victory, I had hoped I wouldn't have to tackle such topics such as: the silent weapon of Gary Johnson, the GOP’s losing choice of Mitt Romney, the self-defeating choice of Paul Ryan, and the Obama race-fueled delusional tidal wave, but in being a part of the human species, history dictates so. Another four years of war, the loss of liberty and rights await us as citizens.

Why am I more paranoid now after the election? Hours after U.S. President Barack Obama was re-elected, the United States backed a U.N. committee's call on Wednesday to renew debate over a draft international treaty to regulate the $70 billion global conventional arms trade. I, for one would be more comfortable if every citizen carried a firearm on their hip, then maybe criminals would think twice, especially some punk in a trench-coat with self-esteem issues.

At this point, I hope that race division among Americans is no longer an issue when it comes to voting. President Obama doesn’t care about the blacks, the whites, or the browns. What he cares about is making money for the banks. Obama has been playing for the same owners as Team Bush (Sr.) from the start. Would Mitt Romney have been the solution for America? Of course not, but while living in Texas, the deconstruction of the 2nd amendment has been the basis for many citizen’s paranoia, as well as my own.

Was Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson a factor? The truth is, even with Gary Johnson’s impressive 1,139,562 votes going to Romney, he still would have lost. An impact state like Florida with 29 electoral votes still wouldn't have made a difference. The Johnson vote was good to see noticed, but again, he never proposed much of a threat to a change in the establishment. The real story here is the GOP’s choice of Mitt Romney, and the proceeding Paul Ryan as their contenders. Did the Republican Party really want a victory? I am not talking about the Republican voting citizens in America, they very much wanted a change in the White House, and most of my friends that voted for Mitt Romney were visibly upset, and really thought that he had a chance. At the end of the day, the lesser of the two evils in my eyes was Mitt Romney, simply on this reason alone; President Obama plans to erode the 2nd Amendment, which was developed as a result of the tyrannous rule of the British parliament to provide defense through the ability to raise and support militias.
