Rand Paul is Annoyed and Insulted by Obama Taxpayer Funded Benghazi Cover Up

Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) told CNN's Erin Burnett OutFront that he was "annoyed and insulted" by the administration's politics regarding the deadly September 11 terrorist attack to the American consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

"I'm sort of annoyed and insulted that we spent U.S. taxpayer's money advertising in Pakistan, apologizing for a video that had nothing to do with our government and may have nothing to do with this [attack]."

He was responding to Republican criticism of UN Ambassador Susan Rice, who initially said the attack were four Americans — including Ambassador Chris Stevens — were killed was carried by a spontaneous mob angered by the anti-Islam YouTube video The Innocence of Muslims.

Rice, who is rumored to replace Hillary Clinton as secretary of state, is under fire from Senators John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) who said she's "not qualified" for the promotion because of her "misleading" interviews following the attack.

But Paul thinks that focusing on Rice misses the point. The senator said that the person who sent an American ambassador to a "war-torn country" without uniformed marines guarding him should be fired for his or her bad — and ultimately deadly — decision.

When Burnett said "that person is obviously not Ambassador Rice" and that "we're all trying to find out who that person is," Paul intervened to say, "the president knows who that person is, and he's known it for weeks."

He then suggested that "the head of an organization" is the ultimate responsible for that organization's failures and as such "ought to be let go."
