Robert Pattinson, the star of the Twilight film trilogy, joined fellow Englishman 'Man of Steel' Henry Cavill is finally addressing rumors about the casting of the upcoming movie version of E.L. James' wildly popular book Fifty Shades of Grey.

“I am playing that part. I also wrote the book,” Pattinson jokingly told In Style magazine about the much-coveted role of CEO and philanthropist Christian Grey — who's in an S&M love relationship with student Anastasia Steel.

Pattinson, who recently wrapped up the third and last installment of the Vampire-Werewolf teen drama Twilight might have poked author E.L. James, who during the summer dismissed him as a potential candidate for the role — despite the fact that Fifty Shades of Grey was reportedly inspired in a Twilight fan fiction.
