Girls Season 2 Trailer: Lena Dunham is Back in HBO Town

Culture

Just when Girls fans were starting to get desperate for updates, the Season 2 trailer lands conveniently on our e-doorsteps. Lest we forget, Lena Dunham has been impressively busy since the HBO show's first season wrapped; think, New Yorker pieces, quietly released movies, Emmy awards nudity, and $3.5 million book deals. And somehow she managed to shoot Girls as well.

The release of the Season 2 trailer provides us with a window into what television's most controversial women will be up to this season. What the window surprisingly shows us is a glimmer of hope for Hannah Horvath (Lena Dunham) in the relationship department. Hannah seems to be officially split from Adam (Adam Driver), though he does appear to be murderous-ly lurking around her apartment. In a delightful growing up twist, Hannah alleges to be in the mood for a "kind, sexy, responsible boyfriend." Hannah and Marnie also seem to have made amends after their end-of-season fall out ... we'll just have to wait to see how mended that all really is.

The new season also seems to promise some quotable, "voice of a generation" type lines: "I'm an individual, and I feel how I feel when I feel it."

Americans will just have to wait until the January 13 premiere to see how they feel about Season 2.
