Gay Marriage: 1 in 5 Americans Has Evolved on Marriage Equality
Earlier in the year, President Obama said his views on marriage equality had evolved to the point where he believed same-sex couples should be allowed to marry. And now, 1 in 5 Americans is admitting to changing their view on the issue —-- according to a new Politico/George Washington University Battleground poll.
The survey, of 1,000 likely voters conducted between December 2 and 6, also fond that 40% of Americans think same-sex couples should be able to legally marrying, while 30% says they should be able to enter into civil unions and 24% believe gay couples shouldn't be allowed to have any type of legal union.
