Top 100 Electronic Dance Music Songs of 2012
Electronic dance music took center stage in U.S. popular mainstream music in 2012. Not only did proven artists and groups such as David Guetta and Calvin Harris gain renown recognition for their work, but pop stars such as Justin Bieber and Nikki Minaj have continuously incorporated EDM sounds to their hits.
In 2012, we saw the cultivation of a new breed of American DJs, seeking competition with legends from the nordic region of the world. Swedish House Mafia's final album release of Until Now and release of tour dates for "One Last Tour" were the most anticipated events in the EDM scene this year.
The EDM bubble will surely burst sooner or later, but for now, we cherish the recognition EDM is receiving and take advantage of the many opportunities this brings EDM fans across the country.
