John McAfee, the anti-virus software pioneer, and bath salts enthusiast, who was arrested in Guatemala after Belize authorities sought him for questioning regarding a murder investigation was released from jail on Wednesday — according to a McAfee personal blog post, reported by NPR.

According to the AP, one of McAfee's lawyers, Telesforo Guerra, said Tuesday "a judge has ordered the software company founder released." McAfee reportedly said he doesn't want to go back to Belize. McAfee, who says he's innocent of the murder and that he's being persecuted by "corrupt" Belizean authorities, was detained in Guatemala after he allegedly entered that country illegally.
