Australia and New Zealand Are Still Standing, But the World Still Can End

Culture

While naysayers of the Mayan Apocalypse point to Australia and New Zealand (where it's already 12-21-12) as proof that the world is not going to end on this day, Twitter conspiracy theorists are inundating the social networks with supposed reports of random and weird events taking place in the quiet rural areas of these two countries.

Meanwhile, marketers keep promoting their brands like there's no tomorrow (no pun intended) with companies like Jell-O offering pudding as the "funnest sacrifice," to the Mayan gods, Kraft giving Canadians free macaroni and cheese (a survivalist staple); and Old Spice offering this "Dikembe Mutombo Flash" game.
