Baseball HOF Ballot: Kenny Lofton a Viable Candidate?

Culture

For 17 years, Kenny Lofton was a fixture in center field for a variety of teams — most notably the Indians. Over the course of his career he batted .299 with an OBP of .372, while stealing 622 bases. He was a classic table-setter and sparked his team to the postseason 11 times. Most notable is Lofton's surprisingly high career WAR, and whekre it places him on the all-time list. Lofton's is 64.9, placing him in a tie (with Ryne Sandberg and Carl Hubbell) for 104th. Believe it or not, Lofton is actually 0.1 point ahead of former Cleveland teammate Manny Ramirez.

Lofton won't garner 75% of today's vote, but at some point he should get the Hall of Fame nod.
