Sunday night were the 70th annual Golden Globes; a night of Hollywood merriment, and a pinch of celebrity debauchery. The evening’s biggest winners in the film department were Argo and Les Misérables; in the TV categories Homeland and Girls took home the most coveted trophies.

Argo was an unexpected winner, especially after his Oscars nomination snub. His film was also awarded the trophy for Best Picture, and just last week his film won the coveted Critics' Choice Award.

Affleck took the stage graciously paying homage to his fellow nominees which included Ang Lee, Steven Spielbeg, and Quentin Tarantino. "I don't care what the award is, when they put your name next to the names she just read off it's an extraordinary thing in your life."

One of the people Affleck forgot to thank was George Clooney, but he had his second chance when his wife Jennifer Garner took to the stage as a presenter and thanked the star and producer on her husband's behalf. Check out Affleck's winning speech for Argo.
