10 Of the Most Interesting People to Follow On Twitter

Sadly, although my name is Robin, I do not tweet tweet as much as I could/should. (Tweeting is a huge lifestyle choice!) Eloquence, hilarity, breaking news, and uncensored thoughts are at your gradually arthritic thumbs whenever and wherever you are. While I don’t know necessarily know about about most interesting millennials on Twitter — for I would definitely not consider myself an expert Twit —these 10 people are certainly worth your time if you’ve entered the incredibly interesting twittersphere. In this list of 10, I defined "millennial" as someone born in or after the year 1980. Pulling from the world of pop culture, I’ve incorporated comedians, actors, sports stars, pundits, and of course, Darth Vader, though he might be older than 30…

So without further ado, here are 10 interesting Twitter figures that you should start following!

1. Jon Friedman (@friedmanjon)

Friedman is a writer, comedian, and producer of The Rejection Show. He was originally a blogger for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and routinely does standup in New York. This man is simply hilarious. Judge for yourself.

“One of the side effects for this drug is confusion. Should I take it? Wait, did I already?!”

“Taylor Swift is already writing a song about losing to Adele. #GoldenGlobes."

2. Anna Kendrick (@AnnaKendrick47)

Anna is a personal favorite of mine. Known for her roles in Pitch Perfect and her academy award winning performance (Best Supporting Actress) in Up in the Air.

“When I can feel the bass from another car I feel like I’m in Jurassic Park. I like to imagine a huge douchebag driving with tiny T-Rex arms.”

3. Ezra Koenig (@arzE)

Indie alternative legend Ezra Koenig (Vampire Weekend) drops some pretty nifty thoughts on Twitter. If you’ve heard his music, you can imagine the fun that’s in store

“I’m reading about these coffee monks who live in isolation, brew the world’s best coffee & drink excessive amounts of it 2 be closer to god.”

4. BJ Novak (@BjNovak)

Hey! It’s Ryan from The Office. Good ol' Ryan. BJ Novak, the witty Harvard graduate, is certainly one to follow if you’re looking for a good lulz.

“True story: in high school I started writing a spec 'Seinfeld' in which George convinces Pepperidge Farm to rebrand Goldfish as a gay snack.”

5. Donald Glover (@DonaldGlover)

Community’s own Donald Glover a.k.a Childish Gambino a.k.a hilarious is an actor, singer/rapper, and was probably born funny. So much swag.

“There is no ‘unisex’. There is only ‘do I have enough swag to rock this girl jacket.''

6. Will Tracy (@williamtracy)

Will Tracy is the current editor of the world’s most 'factual until people figure out it’s not’ news outlet, The Onion. Starting as an one-liner writing intern at The Onion in 2006, he has taken the fast route to stardom whilst moving its headquarters from New York to Chicago this past summer.

“Therapy has really helped me become a better person. A better person than all of you.”

7. Darth Vader (@darthvader)

(Evil Orphan Ani TM.)

This guy was pretty good in Episodes IV, V, and VI. I hear James Earl Jones’ voice in my head when I read these Tweets.

“I sense an awkward disturbance in the Force. No wait, that was just Jodie Foster. #GoldenGlobes.”

8. Logan Morrison (@LomoMarlins)

The left fielder for the Miami Marlins is probably more known for his witty, outspoken Twitter persona. In addition to his skills on the field and on Twitter, LoMo was also nominated for the Roberto Clemente Award for service. A man of many trades.

“Hey #speedo and @MichaelPhelps I was wondering if u could hook me up with an American flag speedo? Got to represent when doing pool workouts.”

9. Aziz Ansari (@azizansari)

Tom Haverford — the pride and joy of Pawnee, Indiana. The man, the legend. He’s not really acting on Parks and Rec. He just is.

“Amazing! Surprise screening of Star Wars Episode VII at this morning’s Illuminati meeting. So great.”

10. Perez Hilton (@perezhilton)

I can’t imagine anyone on twitter not knowing about Perez Hilton. But if you didn’t before, well here you go. This man has made a living off of dubiously criticizing people. What a life…

“In addition to English and Spanish, I am also fully fluent in #diva.”
