Opie And Anthony: The 11 Most Outrageous Moments of America's Best Talk Radio Show
Ever since radio first came into the American mainstream in the early 1920s, people have been listening to talk radio shows. What started out as a way for local sports promoters and businessmen to promote their interests soon grew as radio stations increased in their power and range. As the decades passed, we saw the rise of talk radio giants like Don Imus, Rush Limbaugh, and Howard Stern. Today however, it's no contest. The best show on the airwaves today is The Opie and Anthony Show.
When the Federal Communications Commission began cracking down and limiting the fun that radio stations could have, some of the best shows began to water down their programming. One by one, shows like Kid Chris, Ron and Fez, JV and Elvis, and Mancow (ugh) were forced to either leave the airwaves or change their format. Through it all, the Opie and Anthony show adapted and persevered. After being taken off the air for two years for a stunt which involved two people having sex in a church (hilarious, by the way), Opie and Anthony returned to XM Satellite Radio in 2004.
When Howard Stern left terrestrial radio in 2006, David Lee Roth was (stupidly) brought in to host a show in his place. It bombed beyond imagination. After that, a deal was stuck that brought Opie and Anthony back to terrestrial radio while simulcasting on satellite. Although Citadel Broadcasting, their parent company, folded in 2009, today Opie and Anthony (along with comedian Jim Norton) still broadcast daily on SiriusXM to millions of people across the continent.
It should be said that what most people under the age of 30 consider to be shocking radio consists of some faked prank phone call on their morning Top 40 radio show. Buckle up boys and girls, you ain't seen nothing yet. And for those of you who think that Mancow or Rover's Morning Glory qualify as shock jock radio, you're in for a wake up call.

1. Opie and Anthony destroy Homeless Andrew's cake
Poor Homeless Andrew, he just wanted to share a beautiful cake that he earned. Never share anything with Opie.
2. Opie and Anthony hang up on Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell is a respected actress who just wanted to promote her latest movie. Oof.
3. Trashing Sarah Jessica Parker backfires hilariously
The boys were trashing Sarah Jessica Parker after she hosted an awards show back in 2000. Unfortunately for them, someone on the set of Sex and the City happened to have their show on. Oops.
4. Opie and Anthony get even with Sarah Jessica Parker
During the lead up to the Sex and the City movie, Opie, Anthony and Jim Norton have a little fun with potential plot lines for the flick.
5. Opie and Anthony watch "1 Guy, 1 Jar"
If you thought 2 Girls, 1 Cup was disgusting, you haven't seen anything yet. The boys force their audience to guess what it is that they could possibly be listening to.
6. The Boys destroy the idea of a "Retarded Restaurant"
A woman talks to the news about how she'd love to open up a restaurant that could hire people with special needs. Never, ever, bring a human interest story within ten miles of the Opie and Anthony show.
7. Hat removal!
The boys see security footage of an old woman who has a hat on, and some nice young man that wants to help her remove it.
8. Patrice O'Neal sees Bobo's "trick
Comedian Patrice O'Neal, (RIP) watches as local NYC dummy Bobo talks about a different subjects, and the howls as his body "reacts."
9. The worst phone call, ever
This poor guy just called in wanting to be funny. He ended up becoming the worst caller in the history of the show.

Every October, Opie, Anthony, and Jim Norton turn "Rocktober" into "Jocktober," during which they listen to the hackiest, most god-awful morning zoo radio shows around the country. These clips show them destorying a local show from Rochester, NY. As a Rochester native, I found this especially fun to listen to over and over again!
