Don't Trust the B In Apartment 23 Cancelled: James Van Der Beek Goes On a Twitter Rant

Moving to New York City can be a struggle, and that's why it's a shame that ABC has reportedly axed sitcom Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, a show about a young Midwestern woman who encounters a slew of mishaps upon relocating to Manhattan.

"Sad to say ABC has pulled #Apt23 and will not be airing the 8 remaining episodes any time soon. Translation: we’ve basically been cancelled," James Van Der Beek, who plays himself on the series, tweeted this afternoon.

Though main cast member Krysten Ritter only published a handful of tweets about the cancellation, van der Beek went off about what may have went wrong with the series, urging fans not to blame the network for letting go of the comedy in its second season:

Don't Trust the B-— first aired last spring and was almost immediately granted a second season, but low ratings could have very well contributed to its demise. Even though Van Der Beek appears to have a good, mature attitude about the folding of the only show in which he'll ever have the opportunity to portray a caricature of himself, it's safe to say this is how he feels inside:
