Coachella 2013 Lineup: Full List Of All the Artists

Culture

Coachella Music Festival begins in just a few short days. The festival will take place in April over two consecutive weekend; April 12-14 and April 19-21 with the daily headliners Blur, The Stone Roses, Phoenix, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

After the initial announcement of the lineup, the online buzz was quickly defined by two words: "who cancelled?"  This is due to the pervasive rumor that the Rolling Stones were appearing at the event; on January 22, Rolling Stone magazine confirmed they were not.

Further backlash against the festival is ongoing due to the fact that Coachella has implemented a new ticketing policy. Unlike previous year's, festival-goers do not have the option of purchasing tickets via layaway (a budget-friendly option for a lot of the younger crowd.) Furthermore, added expenses have been piled on via Coachella's new requirement that first weekend tickets must also include either a shuttle pass or car camping pass.

That said, if the success of Coachella 2012 is any indication, there will be a massive turnout come April. In 2012, over 80,000 people attended.
