Vine is Twitter's new video app that allows users to share video clips. And "Not Safe for Work" (NSFW) content reportedly started being shared on the app since its launch (hashtags such as #nsfw, #porn, and #sex returned adult content). However, the aforementioned pornographic video was behind a NSFW filter — and Vine users have the ability to flag content they consider inappropriate.

But as popular social media sites such as Reddit post more and more NSFW content, should Twitter be criticized for aggregating properly screened adult content? The porn business in America — which is worth an estimated $4 billion — remains a relatively unmonetized enterprise when it comes to mainstream marketing.
