Hillary Clinton 2016: Is Her New Website Part Of Her Presidential Campaign?

Impact

Hillary Clinton says she isn't planning a run for president in 2016, but she sure isn't doing much to discourage rumors ... and that's just the way she wants it.

Her latest move was to launch a new website, HillaryClintonOffice.com, immediately after leaving the State Department. Clinton's 2008 campaign website also redirects to the new URL.

Featuring nothing but a smiling photo of the former secretary of state and a form to contact Clinton's staff, the new and very plain site seems as clear an invitation to wild speculation as a political adviser could possibly hope for.

Asked last week at a global town hall meeting whether she had her eyes on the presidency, Clinton responded that "I am not thinking about anything like that right now."

In a subsequent follow-up interview with CNN that day, she clarified "I have absolutely no plans to run."

However, she continued that "I am lucky because I've been very healthy. I feel great. I've got enormous amounts of energy that have to be harnessed and focused, so I'm very fortunate. I'm looking forward to this next chapter in my life, whatever it is."

"I don't know everything I'll be doing. I'll be working on behalf of women and girls, hopefully writing and speaking, those are the things that I'm planning to do right now."

Coupled with a send-off interview co-starring President Obama in what seemed like a pretty clear endorsement of any of her future plans, 2016 looks more than on the table for Clinton.
