Grammy Awards 2013: Winners, Nominees and All the LIVE Updates

Culture

In 1959, Mort Saul hosted a Grammy Awards show where Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Perry Como won big. I don’t think any of them could have imagined that 50 years from that night, Cee Lo Green would tear the house down singing a version of his hit single, “Fuck You.”

Times change, but the epic nature of the Grammys stays the same. This year, we’ll see performances from new stars (Frank Ocean, fun., The Lumineers), old standbys (Jack White, The Black Keys), and absurd combinations of the two (Elton John and Ed Sheeran? Bruno Mars, Rihanna, and Sting?!)

Alright, that Sting appearance isn’t as ridiculous as it seems — I could have sworn I was listening to The Police for the first half of “Locked Out of Heaven” — but I digress. My point is: The Grammys are amazing, and this year, the show is poised to be amongst the most eclectic and relevant since it became a staple of the music world. Also, LL Cool J (who is hosting) is the man.

On Sunday, February 10, join me as I break down (in real time!) the performances, presentations, winners, and losers of the biggest night in music. It’ll be a night for the ages. See you there.
