Winter Storm Nemo: Northeast Snow Forecast Could Be Historic

Impact

Traveling north on I-95 may not be wise this weekend. While Philadelphia looks like it may only be getting a dusting of snow, New York could get anywhere from 6 to 12 inches of snow. Going further north into areas of the Adirondacks and New England could be even worse, with areas expecting over a foot of snow, and some even forecasted to top out with over 2 feet of snow.

Boston, Hartford, Providence, Portland, Maine, and Burlington are all cities in threat of getting over a foot of snow.

Winter Storm Nemo could be a top-10 snowstorm of all time in Boston. Dating back to 1892, only six snowfalls have topped 20 inches in Boston. It appears  Nemo could be the seventh.
