Best Urban Contemporary Album Goes to Frank Ocean and My Faith in the Grammys Have Been Restored

Culture

In the most deserved award of the night, Frank Ocean wins the first ever Grammy awarded for Best Urban Contemporary Album.  In this, Ocean beats out Miguel's Kaleidoscope Dreams and Chris Brown's Fortune.  Channel Orange is far and away one of the best albums of the year, and this Grammy Award was totally deserved.  Pitchfork gave the album one of the most glowing reviews ever made by the site, receiving a 9.5.  The album also made waves with Ocean's announcement through his Tumblr that he was gay or bisexual.  Congratulations to Ocean once again, as he deserved this Grammy.
