Two women are reported dead as a result of a Monday shooting at the New Castle County Courthouse in Wilmington, Delaware.

Two unidentified women have reportedly pronounced dead, while two Capitol Police officers have sustained "non-life threatening" injuries.

Though the still unidentified gunman wasn't able to get past the building's metal detectors before he opened fire, he was able to target his victims at the courthouse's public lobby.

Police said they have a "preliminary identification" of the shooter, which won't be released yet. They however described him as a "male between 20 and 30-years-old."

The shooting took place at 8:00 a.m. at the lobby of the New Castle County Courthouse at 500 North King Street in Wilmington.
