Obama State of the Union Address: "Demilitarised Gun Nut" Ted Nugent To Attend

Impact

Ted Nugent said he would be "dead or in jail" if President Obama was re-elected, but the far-right rock musician isn't cold on the ground or locked away with no key yet: instead, he's entering the deepest recesses of enemy territory.

That's right: Ted Nugent will not only be watching the State of the Union tonight, he will be doing it from inside the chamber. Nugent was invited by similarly far-right Rep. Steve Stockman of Texas, who made news recently for saying that he would file articles of impeachment against President Obama if he issued any executive orders relating to gun control.

"I will go in at least 20 pounds lighter than I normally walk. I will be going in sans the hardware store on my belt. I live a well-armed life, and I've got to demilitarize before I go," Nugent said to the New York Times.

On Twitter, he had a message for his followers: "well well well, there will be a freedom addicted all American uppity Motown guitarplayer facing the POTUS at the SOTU address tomoro-lovely".

Does this mean the fire in Nugent's heart has died down, even slightly? Not a damned chance. His post-Obama-re-electon tweets have included a variety of inflammatory and straight-up crazy statements, including:

- Pimps whores & welfare brats & their soulless supporters have a president to destroy America.

- What subhuman varmint believes others must pay for their obesity booze cellphones birthcontrol abortions & lives

- Goodluk American u just voted for economic & spiritual suicide. Soulless fools

Are we going to see a repeat of Rep. Joe Wilson's infamous "YOU LIE!" statement? Odds are as good as ever. Personally, while I'm glad Nugent ditched the guns, he manages to sneak in an air guitar to play sick riffs against socialism.
