State of the Union 2013: Obama's Approval Rating 52%

As we head into the stretch run before the State of the Union address, CBS News has released a poll that shows President Obama with a 52% approval rating. 38% of those polled disapproved on the president’s performance.

 A deeper look at the numbers shows why the economy will have such a focus in Obama’s speech tonight. Only 45% approve of the way the president has handled the economy with 53% saying he has no clear plan. This is the first time since 2009 that President Obama’s approval rating has reached 50%.
