How To Prepare for the 2013 State of the Union

If you haven't done so already, it's time to get ready for the 2013 state of the union address as we do for every political speech - with only the finest brews from around the country.

First, check out the official PolicyMic SOTU Drinking Game rules. Then, grab some of your favorite local brews (mine: Boulevard 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer, product of Kansas City) and locate your source for the speech. If you're like me and don't have cable, then head over to YouTube and check out the white house channel for some "preshow entertainment." I have already watched an expose on white house beer and white house music.

Also, you may want to grab something soft to throw at the television/computer when it makes you angry - it's a political speech, so you know you'll be angry at some point and it's better to be prepared now! Don't forget to share what you'll be drinking as you tune in this evening to see the president address the nation.
