Chris Dorner Cabin on Fire, Has Basement

Impact

Media sources expressed confusion as to the status of Christopher Dorner, the former Los Angeles Police Department officer now accused of killing four people including two cops. Dorner was allegedly chased to a Big Bear Lake cabin after being spotted by authorities in the area, a chase that resulted in the death of one officer.

Now, as the cabin where "hundreds" of bullets were exchanged burns down, it is unclear whether Dorner is dead, alive, captured, or hiding out. Speaking to Anderson Cooper on CNN, the son of the cabin's owner said that there was a basement as well as four other cabins on the property. It is unknown whether he is in possession of a gas mask which would allow him to remain alive in the inferno, which may have been started by police department deployment of tear gas.
