Time Magazine has given us some idea of what's to come in tonight's address.
Job creation will still be numero uno and while his strategies to spur jobs for the middle class has been his main priority, not adding to the deficit remains the other. In an attempt to quel Republican critics, he stated:
“Nothing I’m proposing tonight should increase our deficit by a single dime,” Obama said. “It’s not a bigger government we need, but a smarter government that sets priorities and invests in broad-based growth.”
