Best Actress Oscars Flashback: Kate Winslet's 2009 Win

Culture

I really enjoyed this method of presenting the Oscars. Bringing on past winners to introduce the nominees and award the statue in each of the major categories paid tribute to the legacy and history of the awards. And, since there are no losers but not everyone can be a winner, it gave each of the nominees a chance to be in the spotlight.

(It was also a chance for actors to put their skills to good use, pretending to be so happy for their peers, and viewers to be reminded that, yes, Sophia Loren and Eva Marie Saint are still alive).
