Oscars Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress

Culture

Best Actor -

Favorite: Daniel Day-Lewis at 1/50

Next Best: Hugh Jackman at 25/1

Daniel Day-Lewis is a Metaphyical Certitude to win for Best Actor. He's up against Wolverine and the guy from The Hangover, plus some guys named Joaquin and Denzel. It would be an absolute shock if DDL doesn't win this award for the third time in his distinguished career.

Best Actress -

Favorite: Jennifer Lawrence at 4/7

Next Best: Emmanuelle Riva at 9/4

Katniss is far from a lock to win for Best Actress, and don't sleep on Jessica Chastain from Zero Dark Thirty. Oddsmakers don't seem to know what to make of her, so her odds range from 3/1 to 8/1. This is easily one of the closest three-way races of the evening.

Best Supporting Actor:

Favorite: Tommy Lee Jones at 5/4

Next Best: Christoph Waltz at 6/4

This one is a dead heat, and Best Supporting Actor is the deepest category of the night. Robert De Niro and Phillip Seymour Hoffman are both running off at 5/1, making this an extremely tight race all the way around. (Except for Alan Arkin who is 40/1 for some reason)

Best Supporting Actress -

Favorite: Anne Hathaway at 1/50

Next Best: Sally Field at 25/1

Anne Hathaway can start clearing a space on the mantle, because she is a Metaphysical Certitude to win for Best Supporting Actress. It wouldn't surprise me if this is the first award of the evening (like Best Supporting Actor going to Christoph Waltz in 2012), because there is no supsense here.
