"Life of Pi" nets Claudio Miranda Best Cinematographer and Wins Best Visual Effects

Culture

In one of the most deserved Oscars of the year, at least what I saw from the trailer, it looked like one of the most well cinematographied films of the year.  After an exasperated speech from Miranda, the film recieved another award for Best Visual Effects.  This 3D, effect laden film well deserved Oscars.  We then got one of the most awkward moments on TV.  We are all familiar with being played off the stage, and as the song was building to its crecendo and the visual effect artist showed no signs of slowing down, they cut off his microphone.  I guess he is just going to have to win another Oscar to finish his speech.
