How Can We Better Prevent Sexual Violence Against Women?

Impact

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention just released a survey showing that 1 in 5 U.S. women have been sexually assaulted. This number surprised many CDC experts who didn’t realize how widespread the problem is.

This report coincidentally comes out as a fraternity at the University of Vermont is being investigated for allegations that the fraternity asked members who they would “like to rape.”

With the problem of sexual violence so prevalent in American society, something more must be done to prevent assaults.
