Rand Paul and Republican Leaders Join PolicyMic to Discuss the Future of the GOP

Impact

Wednesday morning, PolicyMic is launching "Millennials and the Future of the GOP," a crowd-sourced discussion between elected officials in Congress, young Republican leaders, and engaged millennials.

Rising stars from the Republican party, including Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.), are publishing op-eds on PolicyMic outlining what the GOP must do to better appeal to young voters. We're inviting the PolicyMic community to respond to, debate, and vote on the proposals from these conservative leaders and help decide what the party should be focusing on. The Republican congressmen will then respond to the most mic’d commenters.

“Millennials & the Future of the GOP” is timed to coincide with the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC), meeting in Washington, D.C., from March 14-16. Leading up to it, PolicyMic pundits are offering suggestions for how the GOP can win over millennials on a range of issues including: gay marriage, immigration, jobs, national security, and energy independence. At the end of the week, we'll be summarizing the highlights of the debate and share them with the community and GOP leadership.

It's part of our mission to foster smart debate and authentic conversation and give millennials a greater voice in shaping the future of our political parties.

We look forward to having you involved.
