The 115 cardinals convened at The Vatican to elect a replacement for former Pope Benedict XVI started their day at 6:30 a.m. (local time), and already failed three times — once on Tuesday and twice on Wednesday — to select Benedict's successor. See the full Wednesday schedule below (times are on EDT):  

1:30 a.m. – Breakfast is served.

2:45 a.m. – The cardinals transfer from the Domus Sanctae Marthae to the Pauline Chapel.

3:15 a.m. – Mass is celebrated in the Pauline Chapel.
