SEC 2013 Tournament Schedule, Bracket, and Predictions

Culture

It wasn't a great year for the SEC. Only Florida finds itself as a "lock" for the tournament according to most experts. But as many as five teams could snatch up tourney invitations. It wouldn't hurt for a team like Alabama to win the SEC Tourney for good measure.

The tournament started Wednesday in Nashville, Tenn. with first round action as the top seeds sat out taking advantage of their byes.

Here is the schedule for the remainder of the SEC Tournament (all times EDT):

THURSDAY (Second Round)

1p.m. - Georgia vs. LSU

3:30p.m. - Mississippi State vs. Tennessee

7:30p.m. - Vanderbilt vs. Arkansas

10p.m. - Texas A&M vs. Missouri

FRIDAY (Quarterfinals)

1p.m. - Georgia/LSU vs. Florida

3:30p.m. - Miss St./Tenn vs. Alabama

7:30p.m. - Vandy/Ark vs. Kentucky

10p.m. - Tex A&M/Mizzou vs. Ole Miss

SATURDAY (Semifinals)

1p.m. - Semifinal Game 1

3:30p.m. - Semifinal Game 2

SUNDAY (Championship Game)

1p.m. on ABC - The Two remaining teams.

Prediction: It's hard to see this tournament not ending with Florida as winner. They have been the class of the league, but did stumble a little bit down the stretch. Billy Donovan is a proven coach who knows how to get his teams ready in March. The question is, who will they face in the championship?

I see it coming down to Kentucky, who will cement their at-large invitation by making the final before losing to a superior Florida team.
