Big East 2013 Tournament Schedule and Predictions

What we have left is Georgetown, Syracuse, Louisville, Villanova, Marquette and Notre Dame.  Louisville currently holds a 16 point lead against the Wildcats, and while teams have come back from bigger deficits, the Cardinals are a pretty safe bet.  Marquette has looked really good all season, and I think they should overcome the Fighting Irish who had a lot of trouble putting Rutgers away yesterday.

For the semifinals, in the final scheduled match-up between Syracuse and Georgetown, I predict that the Hoyas are going to continue their success against the Orange this season and take this one.  In the second game, this is a definite toss-up as Louisville has looked like the strongest team in the Big East; however, Marquette does not suffer the same sort of inconsistencies that players such as Russ Smith and Peyton Siva go through.  I would still look for Louisville to win the game.

In this classic one-two game between Georgetown and Louisville, I'll take the stronger team in Louisville as playing three games in three nights is something that few teams have in them.  Otto Porter Jr., unanimous Big East Player of the Year, is just a sophomore, and Siva and Smith's experience, winning the tournament last year, gives them both the confidence and the talent to win the last Big East Tournament as we know it.
