Lil Wayne in Hospital Following Seizure, But He's OK Now

Lil Wayne is recovering in the hospital following a seizure he suffered on Friday evening. Lil Wayne (or "Weezy" to his friends) is a Grammy-winning multi-platinum-selling rapper from New Orleans.

Initially, the website TMZ reported that Wayne was in critical condition, had been placed in an induced coma, and was being "read his last rites." TMZ also reported that the rapper went on a Sizzurp binge because doctors found high levels of Codeine in his system. Following TMZ's reporting on Wayne, rapper and friend TI took to Twitter to respond to the false claims. Close friend Drake went to the hospital with other members of Wayne’s entourage where they awaited news of the rappers condition. Wayne tweeted his fans at around 6:30 p.m. to say that he was recovering.

This isn’t the first time Wayne has suffered from seizures. On Tuesday, the 30-year-told rapper was taken to the hospital after allegedly having a seizure on the set of a Nicki Minaj video. Wayne experienced "seizure-like" symptoms on a private jet last October. The jet was forced to make an emergency landing in Texas where he was taken to a nearby hospital.

Wayne is expected to make a full recovery, but it is not yet known when he will be released from the hospital. His new album, I Am Not A Human Being, is set to come out on March 26.
