Who Will Win March Madness: Predictions

Culture

I may be nuts, but I see three Big 10 teams continuing onto Atlanta. The conference has looked great so far, and I see it continuing in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8. Check out predictions for each bracket below:

Midwest Prediction: Expect Louisville to overwhelm Oregon and Michigan State to squeak out a victory over Duke. Then gear up for Louisville's defense to be too much for a spent MSU team that exerted too much energy in their win over Duke: Louisville will make a return trip to the Final Four.

West Prediction: It is probably a safe bet to take the winner of the Ohio State/Arizona game to the Final Four. However, Wichita State is a team that could handle either of the juggernauts. They did beat 1-seed Gonzaga. But in the end, it looks like Ohio State is peaking at the right time and finds themselves in the easiest bracket. Look for them to cut down the nets in LA on Saturday.

South Prediction: Realistically, the fun of FGCU will come to an end with Florida. The surprising athleticism of FGCU won't be a surprise anymore, and Florida should take care of them handily. Then look for Michigan to continue its hot shooting for a match-up with Florida in the Elite 8. In the Elite 8, Michigan will get another Big 10 team to the Final Four.

East Prediction: Before the injury to big man Reggie Johnson, I was planning to take Miami over Marquette, but now I'm going with the Golden Eagles. Meanwhile, Victor Oladipo of Indiana seems like he's on a mission. Syracuse won't be able to hang. In the Elite 8, expect Indiana to take out Marquette in an exciting game on Saturday.
