YouTube Accidental Racist Brad Paisley: Watch Song Here

Culture

Brad Paisley and L.L. Cool J. have partnered in a bizarre musical experiment that, though it was supposedly intended to ease racial relations in America, is, instead, producing an online backlash of epic proportions. According to Mashable, the track in question, 'Accidental Racist,' "begins as Paisley walks into a Starbucks with a confederate flag on his t-shirt." Say no more. Why go there? Here are some of the lyrics

Our generation didn't start this nation, and we're still picking up the pieces, walking on eggshells, fighting over yesterday. Caught between southern pride and southern blame. .... Cause I'm a white man, living in the south land.

And just when you thought it coudn't any worse, along comes L.L. Cool guest-rapping about ... chains. Hear for yourself:
