Where is the 'Friends' Cast Now?

Culture

It has been nine years since the cast of Friends made their final curtain call in that cozy apartment in New York and went for that last coffee at Central Perk. But where are they now?

1. Jennifer Aniston - Rachel Green

The most commercially successful of the gang, Aniston is a regular hitter on the Forbes 100 Celebrity rich list. Last year she was ranked the 22nd richest celebrity with an estimated wealth of $11m. Aniston went on to secure a number of girl next door roles ranging from Bruce Almighty to Love Happens, but soon silenced critics in her turn as the maneating Dr Julia Harris in Horrible Bosses.

Aniston's love life has been far from the happily ever after that Rachel got in Friends, and her love life has been the subject of much media fascination *coughBradPittcough*. Aniston has been linked to The Break-Up co-star Vince Vaughan, singer John Mayer, and last year announced her engagement with Justin Theroux.

Most recently however, Aniston has been spotted promoting Sky broadband in the U.K.

2. David Schwimmer - Ross Gellar

Schwimmer's most noted credit outside Friends has always been as the voice of Melman in Dreamworks' Madagascar. As well as a few small appearances, which includes 30 Rock, Schwimmer has also been doing work behind the camera as a director and made his directorial debut in Run Fatboy, Run starring Shaun of the Dead's Simon Pegg, and he even directed a few episodes of Joey.

Schwimmer is also something of a regular in the U.K; in 2005 he appeared in Neil LaBute's Some Girls in London's West End and a year later made his Broadway debut with The Caine Mutiny Court Martial.

He also guest starred in the BBC's Come Fly With Me, a mockumentary comedy series created by Matt Lucas and David Walliams of Little Britain. Schwimmer previously directed both in an episode of Little Britain USA.

3. Matt LeBlanc - Joey Tribbiani

Immediately after Friends, LeBlanc signed onto that spin-off series Joey, which received mixed reviews and was canceled after two seasons.

Like Schwimmer however, LeBlanc also found some success in the UK starring as a fictional version of himself in the BBC/Showtime series Episodes. Created by David Crane (who also wrote Friends), the series about couple who are persuaded to do a U.S. remake of the show won LeBlanc a Golden Globe in 2011 playing a fictitious version of himself.

4. Matthew Perry - Chandler Bing

Perry has been busy on the NBC sitcom Go On, where he plays a sports talk radio host struggling to cope with the death of his wife. The show also reunited him with his onscreen wife from Friends Courtney Cox.

He also starred in the television film The Ron Clark Story and Sorkin's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. He also wrote and produced an ABC series called Mr. Sunshine, which was canceled after nine episodes allegedly because of low ratings.

Other credits included directing and appearing in an episode of Scrubs and also playing the older version of Zac Efron in 17 again.

5. Courtney Cox - Monica Geller

She may have lost out to Terri Hatcher for the lead on Desperate Housewives, but Cox's most well known work to date after Friends came in the form of Cougar Town, which also featured former Friends co-stars Kudrow and Aniston.

Cox also appeared briefly in Scrubs, played a cynical tabloid editor in the series Dirt, and recently directed a Lifetime television movie Talhotblond.

Cox has one daughter (of which Aniston is the godmother) and she and her husband David Arquette officially divorced last year.

6. Lisa Kudrow - Phoebe Buffay

After Friends, Kudrow appeared in a number of films from P.S. I Love You to The Other Woman. Her most notable credit however was as executive producer for the U.S. instalment of the British genealogy show Who Do You Think You Are? in which Kudrow traced back her family tree in season one.

Kudrow also won plaudits for her improvized online series Web Therapy, but the transition of the series to the television medium was greeted with somewhat mixed reviews.
