North Korea News: Dennis Rodman Will Return On August 1

Impact

U.S. "ambassador" to North Korea Dennis Rodman has announced that he will be returning to North Korea on August 1, despite the increase in political tensions and militancy in the region.

Given the recent Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) report that was released regarding the threat of North Korea, is he being used as a shield against North Korea by the government? Or, given the rise of North Korean militancy since Rodman’s last trip to North Korea, will his trip this time around end up starting a nuclear war?

When the former basketball player and NBA Hall of Famer visited North Korea for the first time in February, the trip garnered criticism from the media and the public. However, Rodman is not deterred by this criticism and is determined to go back.

“We have no plans really, as far as what we’re going to do over there, but we’ll just hang and have some fun!” said Rodman. “He just wants to be loved. He just wants to sit down and talk. That’s all.”

Is Rodman playing (basketball) games with North Korea? Is he just pretending to have fun with Kim Jong-un while clandestinely attempting to disarm their nuclear warheads? Or, just like things got worse after Rodman returned from North Korea in February, will things will get worse once again after his August trip?

Moreover, Rodman has said that he wants to talk to President Obama before he leaves on his trip. To discuss strategy, or to warn Obama of the impending doom?

Don’t be fooled by the laughter in this picture below. While Kim Jong-un and Rodman “have some fun” watching basketball games in North Korea, he could be working with the U.S. government to disarm the North Korean nuclear threat. Or, he could start a nuclear war.
