Martin Richard: 8-Year-Old Killed in Boston Bombing

Third grader Martin Richard was waiting for his father by the Boston Marathon finish line Monday when an explosion killed the 8-year-old, according to the Huffington Post.

Richard, whose mother and sister have been hospitalized for "grievous injuries," wanted to see his dad finish the race. The Dorchester boy reportedly enjoyed riding his bike and playing baseball. 

"There are no words to describe how they are feeling ... we are feeling," a neighbor told WCVB of Richard's family. 

Another person tweeted of young Richard, "I knew that name sounded familiar Martin Richard played for savin hill little league he was on the rangers #RestInPeace #PrayForMartin" 

Richard is among the three reported dead from the Monday blast, which injured hundreds. 

His father's status remains unknown at this time.
